High Five for Friday

It's finally Friday!  I don't know why Fridays are still so appealing when everyday is sort of a weekend around here.  This one is especially good because the Scout Master has been out of town since Monday, and we're going out on a DATE!  WooHoo!!


Here's what I loved about this week...

the 2012 Olympics...I'm loving the swimming, gymnastics and diving (and holy cow!!  synchronized diving has got to be the coolest thing I've EVER seen!)

I LOVE this website.  I am so rapidly becoming a family history nerd, it's not even funny.

Freddy's french fries!
I took the girls to Freddy's on Tuesday afternoon for one last burger before BFF got on a plane for 2 1/2 hours. I don't eat the burgers, although I've heard they're awesome.  But these fries are seriously the BEST I've ever had.  They're even better than In-n-Out fries...and you don't have to ask for them WELL DONE.  I think there are more calories in a small order of fries than there are in a burger, but it's way worth skipping a few meals to indulge once in a while.  In fact, just looking at that picture up there, makes me think I might need to talk the Scout Master into a date night at Freddy's tonight!  <3

Playing around at the airport while we waited for BFF to get on her plane.  The ticket agent was SO nice to let us ALL go through security and wait at the gate.  And once we got in, you'd have thought these girls had never been to a store before.  There must be something about shopping in an airport that was exciting and adventurous for them.  

Flowering Buttercup texted me this picture the other day.  It's not often that I want to take a dog home with me and let it live in my house forever, but I might consider it with this one!  He's SO cute and wrinkly.
