Road Trips

Surprise from Mobile, AL!!

This morning we woke up at 6:00am and loaded our beautiful rental Yukon with all of our worldly possessions...well, just about all of them.  It is seriously SHOCKING how much stuff 6 people need for a vacation AND that it all fit.
We drove 600 miles, stopped 4 times for bathroom breaks, 3 times to take pictures, twice for food and once for gas.  We took a little detour through Gulfport, MS just to see the water up close and those beautiful antebellum homes.

It's dark here in Mobile, so I haven't yet seen what it looks like, but we passed through some gorgeous roadside scenery along the way.
It is vastly different to travel EAST from Texas instead of WEST.  I love driving through America!

    1. Haha...well if I had been trying to really impress my OCD friends, I would have shown you the picture of the matching bags all lined up in the hallway the night before we left, each with a colored ribbon to identify whose is whose. It's really kind of ridiculous.

  3. Oh how much fun! I LOVE those homes. If I was a billionaire, I'd buy one in heartbeat! You are spot on about seeing all the different parts of our beautiful country! Have a safe and enjoyable trip. BTW, you packed so dang neatly!!

    1. Oh, me too! I couldn't decide which I loved more...the beach or the homes! And I can only take credit for the packing that happened inside the suitcases. Craig is the master at loading the vehicles. :)
