Joy

"JOY does not simply happen to us.  We have to choose JOY and keep choosing it everyday." - Henri J M Nouwen

I spent so much of last year moping around and sad about things I didn't have, people I couldn't get to, places I wasn't able to be in, and things I couldn't do.  As I'm sure you know, I'm not great at waiting and I miss a lot in the transitions.  The year, I've decided to find JOY in the time between Allen and Birmingham, between Monday through Friday when Craig is out of town, between weekly emails from Savannah, and between all the other things I anxiously anticipate but haven't quite gotten to yet.

There is so much in the middle. I'm not missing it this year.

  1. I love this word for the year! I really do know how you feel - being "in between" things. We are there now - waiting to decide for sure on a move until our son returns home from his mission. I hope that you and your family have a lovely, joyful year.
